Megan has been compiling statistics for the last 2 years. Filling out the anonymous SURVEY may help to bring awareness and credibility to the established medical practitioners who have thus far not been willing to help or even believe that this condition is real. The surveys may someday help get treatment covered by insurance companies. The Health Dept where Megan lives encouraged her to do the survey to get enough proof to force the medical establishment to take this epidemic seriously. The documentation may eventually also help facilitate research by identifying common factors.
